Here is the Stitch Diagram for the first part of the written instructions to Hannah Kate’s Baby Blanket. I hope this will help all my visual crochet folks. Of course, I have both the right and left-handed version.

1. Bernat Softee Baby Stripes, #3 Light Weight, 100 % Acrylic, 287 yards/120 grams. Colorway: Bright Future Stripes. Technically you will need only 4 balls to complete the blanket, but I used 5 so that I could purposely make the edging solid all the way around and took out those colors from the extra ball
2. G Hook/4.0mm
3. Tapestry Needle
ch – chain
blo – back loop only
dc – double crochet
flo – front loop only
rem – remaining
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip st
Gauge: 18 dc and 9 rows = 4″
Finished Measurements: 32″ x 32″
3dc cl (3 double crochet cluster): YO, insert hook in specified stitch, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops, (YO, insert hook into same st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through 2 loops) 2 times, YO pull through remaining 4 loops on the hook. Here is a video tutorial.
X-St (X-Stitch): Skip next indicated 2 sts, dc in next st, ch 1, dc in first skipped st.
- Ch 3 is considered first st in the row. Check out the alternative to the ch 3. I think you’ll love it.
