Here’s the last of the Christmas Poem using crochet terms. Gives you a little giggle!
Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer – Crochet Version
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope and pray everyone is having a great wintry season this year! I have some really great friends that came up with a great idea of taking a Christmas poem or song and replacing some of the words using crochet terms. I have to say it has been a blast.
The first tale was released yesterday by Wendy from The Hooked Haberdasher! It’s a great little read and will make you giggle. Be sure to sing the song in your head while your reading!!! I’m releasing mine today and tomorrow’s fun poem will be coming from Maria of Pattern Paradise!
You will need to be ready to sing to the tune of “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer while reading my version! Here we go……

Kathy the Creative Crocheter
You know Pattern Paradise and The Hooked Haberdasher, Beatrice Ryan Designs, and The Purple Poncho,
Moogly and Crochetville, and Crochet Creations by Cin and Repeat Crafter Me?
But do you recall?
The most famous crocheter of all?
Kathy the Creative Crocheter
Had a very shiny hook
And if you ever saw her prices
You would know she wasn’t a crook.
All of the other crocheters
used to laugh and call her lame
They never let poor Kathy
Join in any crochet games.
Then one southern sunny day,
Wendy came to say
Kathy with your hook so hot
Won’t you get me out of this tight spot?
Then all the other crocheters loved her,
And they shouted out with glee
Kathy the Creative Crocheter,
You’ll go down in crochet history!
And everyone said, “Hee Hee Hee”!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s everyone! May God bless you this upcoming year!

ELK Studio – From the Heart December Event 2013
Writing the blog for the results of our ELK Studio – From the Heart charity events brings me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I’ve come to admire the established core of women that have chosen to take part in serving and meeting the needs of other people.
We decided to serve The Violence Prevention Center, in Belleville,IL this month. They are a crisis intervention group with a 24hr hotline for women affected by domestic violence. The center provides a safe place to stay for the women and children while meeting their needs.
It brings me such pleasure to tell you that we’ve had 120 crochet projects donated to the center this month! Take a look!
I want to thank these women for helping to make this month so successful, especially when most of them were busy crocheting projects for their customers, families and friends trying to prepare for Christmas!

It is such an honor and humbling experience to be in a group with women that share the same vision, yet lives hundred and maybe even thousands of miles apart. It makes no difference that we’ve never met because we believe in giving back to other people. It’s just fantastic!
If you are looking for a group for just fun or maybe take part in our charity events, come join us!
Have a great day and be blessed!
