Wow! Can you believe this is our 3rd year of the Christmas Present Crochet-Along? I am really excited to share this year with you because Premier Yarns agreed to sponsor us ELKies!
As always, the goal of the event is to encourage everyone to get those projects done early so you won’t be burning the midnight oil on Christmas Eve to get that promised blanket or hat done for that loved one.
Let this year be YOUR year! The ELKies Facebook group is a great way to stay encouraged and motivated to join in on the fun. Once the event kicks off and you start seeing all those projects in the group, there’s no way you won’t be able to pick up that hook and yarn and get started! Especially this year….why? Keep reading to get the juicy details because you’ll see an announcement of a giveaway!
I love the folks at Premier Yarns and they love the ELKies just as much! We’ve worked together over the last few months collaborating to come up with some great projects using their wonderful yarns that are perfect for each specific project within the CAL. Lots of great things coming your way, I promise!
This year we will have 5 projects with the first one starting July 3 and the last one ending in October. If you remember, I polled the ELKies a couple of months ago asking what they wanted to see in the CAL. I’m happy to announce most of the top voted projects are making it into the CAL! Woo Hoo right? (Don’t remember what they were? Head over to the group….I’ve bumped the poll so you’ll be able to see what “might” be included.)
The first project is Emory’s Christmas Tree Skirt using the Premier Home Cotton Big Glitz yarn.
As Emory (the hubby) was watching me put this skirt together, he wanted to make sure we were keeping it for our house. It gave me a laugh but really made me feel good to know that he liked it that much. I won’t be showing you a picture of it today, but you can see the finished project on July 3rd when Week 1 is published with the supply list and schedule. You’ll also receive a code for 10% discount when you order from the Premier Yarns website too.
In the meantime, Premier Yarns is going to sponsor a giveaway for one person to win enough of the Home Cotton Big Glitz yarn to make Emory’s Christmas Tree Skirt. All the details for the giveaway is on the Premier site, so you’ll need to click HERE to enter.
I really want to show Premier Yarns how appreciative the ELKies are of their support for this CAL. Be on the look out for Appreciation Projects in the group to show them how much we are thankful for choosing us. It was a business decision they made to work with us, and I really want to make sure we let them know it was a good one! Thanks, ELKies.
I hope you are getting excited to start this CAL with me! Let’s have our usual ELKies CAL fun in the group, so if you aren’t a member…..whatcha waiting on? Join us today!
