Andrea has an amazing story of her kindness and strength to keep fighting. Take a few minutes to be inspired.
Who Taught You to Crochet?
My grandmother tried to teach me when I was in high school, but it didn’t stick. Later I learned from watched YouTube videos.
How Long Have You Been Crocheting?
I started seriously crocheting in September 2014 while I was recovering from cancer surgery.
Title: Wrapped in Warmth
Why is Crochet More than Just a Hobby to You?
I have fought cancer three times already and I really believe that my crochet helped me to deal with each of those difficult times. Not only did it help with my stress relief, I used it as a way to help others. I joined a prayer shawl ministry and I make shawls that I donate to others who have recently been diagnosed with cancer. I also make kids hats for little girls who may have lost their hair to chemo. All these RAOK help me stay encouraged to keep fighting. I am battling a rare form of cancer that is aggressive, but doesn’t respond to a lot of treatments so I have to make sure I don’t let that get me down. Seeing how much others appreciate my handmade gifts gifts me the lift I need 😄
