I love the different ways you can make a poncho. I’d never made one using 2 rectangles sewn together, so I decided to give it a try to design the Moongaze Poncho. So, if you haven’t either, it okay because you’ll be fine with this pattern.
I chose an easy stitch pattern that gives you some texture, added warmth and easy to remember. You’ll find it easy to memorize and can just keep up with the measurements to get your desired look.
- Premier Everyday Heathers, Worsted Weight #4, 180 yds/113g, 100% acrylic, colorway: Oat Heather
- Hook – I/5.50mm
- Tapestry Needle for weaving in the ends
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
rem – remaining
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp(es) – space(es)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Gauge: 14 sc/dc sts and 14 rows = 4”
- Ch 1 at beginning of pattern does not count as first st unless otherwise stated.
- Ch 3 at beginning of pattern counts as double crochet unless otherwise stated.
- You can use the alternative to the ch 3 stitch at the beginning of the pattern. I recommend at least watching the video and trying it. It’s a game changer for a nice, clean edge.
